How to Use This Web Site
What is a Plug-in?
A plug-in is a file or software that you "plug into" your computer so that the activities, sounds and videos of Digital Traditions will play on your computer. Each of the plug-ins listed to the right offer a FREE version that you will need to download to enhance the level of interactivity on Digital Traditions.
What is a Download?
Downloading is the process of loading a file or software onto your computer from the Internet. Once you have downloaded the FREE plug-ins, also known as players, the activities and videos will play for you on the site.
Plug-ins Needed for Digital Traditions
QuickTime plug-in will allow you to view Digital Traditions videos. After you have downloaded the plug-in, close that window to return to the page you were previously viewing.
The Acrobat Reader plug-in allows you to download printable documents. After you have downloaded the plug-in, close that window to return to the page you were previously viewing.
Sufficient bandwidth is required to play the video files in Digital Traditions. If you are having trouble with buffering or with video quality, you may be experiencing network congestion and may wish to try again later. If there are multiple computers trying to access these video files at the same time, there may be insufficient bandwidth to support all of the streams. Please try viewing as a class, with all participants viewing a single stream, rather than as individual users.
